In today’s modern online world it seems that everywhere that you look someone is trying to sell you one thing or another, and that’s just about all they seem to really care about. My belief is a little bit different.
Don’t get me wrong, I like to make money just as much as the next person, but I have learned that building relationships with people, customers or potential customers can make you a lot more money and be much more rewarding in the long run.
I have owned a few different business over the course of my life, and they were all rather successful. I owe part of my success in business to the fact that I didn’t treat everyone like they were just a wallet I was hoping to pry open as fast as possible and get money from them.
I was raised around my grandfather, a business owner himself, who had taught me that if you treat people with respect and go out of your way to show them that respect them and that you value them as a customer of yours, it will pay off more in the long run.

Yes, these types of practices don’t always get you the quick bucks, but they will get your customers to come back to you for more of your products or services in the future. Treat people well and they will also tell family, friends, business and other acquaintances about how well you have treated them and that is some of the best advertising that you can have.
This type of advertising is great for many different reasons. First off, word of mouth doesn’t cost you anything as far as dollars, and the second thing is because word of mouth advertising can spread quickly and pay off very well as time goes on.
Now, in today’s online world of sales and services it can be a little more difficult to show people that you respect and value them than you can in person. So, how do you show respect to people in an online marketplace selling products or services? Well, there are a few different ways that you can do that.
Things like replying quickly to any, comments on your website, and any emails or messages that customers or potential customers send you and do that in a prompt and professional manner. You can also send your customers thank you emails or messages thanking them and/or letting them know that you appreciate and value them.
Another example of respect for your customers and potential customers would be to not bombard them with tons and tons of different advertisements, pop-ups, etc. when they come to visit your website or blog and don’t go crazy with the amount of emails that you are sending them as that can have a very negative effect towards you by the recipients.
There are many different things that you can do in today’s digital online marketplace to build relationships with your customers and potential customers.
Sometimes it might take a bit of creativity to do this online but as long as they understand that you are trying to treat them as a valued customer or potential customer then that will be good for you and your business goals.
Build a respectful and trustful relationship with your customers and your potential customers and it will pay off much more in the long run and give you and/or your online business a great business reputation that people will respect and trust and that is some of the best advertising that you can have!
Good luck and may you reach the Apex in your Niche!
